The Ricoh Pro C7210SX Graphic Arts Edition is the multifunction five-color version of Ricoh's flagship sheet-fed color press, built for commercial printers and in-plants that sell creative effects — white toner on dark stocks, clear for spot varnish, neon pink and yellow for fluorescent accents. It runs 95 ppm in color and B&W at 2400 x 4800 dpi VCSEL, prints on 52-360 gsm stocks with duplex at full weight, and handles banner sheets up to 12.7 x 49.6 inches with the optional banner setup. Max monthly duty cycle is in the 800,000 page range; sweet spot is 150,000 to 400,000. The fifth-color station swaps out depending on the job, which is the headline feature and also the operational gotcha — toner swaps take time, the special toners cost more per page, and you need a sales pitch that justifies the upcharge to clients.
