The Ricoh MP C306 is the desktop color MFP that replaced the C305, hitting 31 pages per minute in color and black with a footprint small enough for a low cabinet or sturdy desk. Sized for small offices doing 1,500-3,500 pages a month with print, copy, scan, and fax bundled in. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB, and Bluetooth, and the touchscreen interface handles workflow setup more cleanly than the older C305's controls. Auto duplex is standard. The regret: the desktop form factor is tempting, but a few buyers underestimated how loud color laser MFPs are at this duty cycle. The fans, drum motors, and finishing mechanisms all add up to a noise level that's distracting in open seating.
