  • You're replacing a Canon imageRUNNER or Konica bizhub — Smart Operation Panel learning curve is real, expect 2-3 weeks of operator complaints.

The Ricoh IM C7010 sits between the IM C6010 (60 ppm) and the production-class IM C6500/C6510 (65+ ppm) — same chassis as the C6010 with a faster print engine for departments that need more throughput without going to a true production unit. It runs at 70 ppm in both black and color, scans at 150 ipm simplex / 300 ipm duplex through the 220-sheet SPDF, and ships with 1,200 sheets standard input expandable to 4,850. The 10.1" Smart Operation Panel is the same Android UI as the rest of the IM C series. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB 2.0/3.0; Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) and fax are both optional. Inline finishing includes the 3,000-sheet booklet finisher SR3350 (saddle-stitch up to 80 pages), hole-punch, multi-folding unit, and large-capacity trays. Print resolution is up to 1200 x 1200 dpi via VCSEL imaging. The thing buyers regret: paying for 70 ppm when their actual queue depth doesn't justify it — the C6010 at 60 ppm covers most departments under 12,000 pages/month for noticeably less. Right call when you're a department genuinely sustained at 12,000-30,000 pages and you don't need SRA3+ or banner stock that pushes you into C6500/C8010 territory.
