Same 15.0 x 8.2-inch base footprint as the fi-7460 (it's the smallest A3 ADF scanner in its class), same paper handling (27 to 413 gsm, A8 to A3 native, folded A2/A1 with carrier sheet, plastic ID cards, long pages to 220 inches at 200 dpi), same iSOP acoustic paper protection and Skew Reducer — the difference is the motor. This is the model resellers put in for high-volume departmental scanning of large originals: engineering and architectural drawings, large legal exhibits, GIS plots, medical imaging departments, university archive digitization. Connectivity is USB 3.0 (USB 2.0/1.1 compatible) — no Ethernet on this model; if you need network scanning at A3 sizes, look at a different platform. The backlit LCD on the operator panel shows scan settings, paper counter, and PaperStream Capture profiles. Bundled: PaperStream IP (TWAIN/ISIS), PaperStream Capture, Scanner Central Admin, ScanSnap Manager, ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap.
