The Ricoh Aficio MP C3000 is a 30 ppm A3 color laser multifunction from Ricoh's 2007 MP C2000/C2500/C3000 platform — the workhorse of Ricoh's late-2000s lineup. It prints and copies at 30 ppm in both mono and color up to 12x18, runs auto duplex standard, has dual 550-sheet drawers (1,100-sheet base capacity with bypass), a 50-sheet reversing ADF, and a 4.3-inch color touchscreen. The 85,000-page monthly duty cycle puts it in the 3,000-8,000 page/month sweet spot for workgroups of 10-25 people. We still service a lot of these — bought new 2008-2011, paid off the lease years ago, engine routinely past 500K pages with PMs. Strengths: durable chassis, predictable parts costs on aftermarket, fast first-page-out for the era. The thing buyers regret: end-of-service from Ricoh, GW controller predates Smart Operation Panel, won't pass a current IT security audit, and the reversing ADF is slow on duplex scans. For a current equivalent at this speed, get the IM C3010.
