  • You want Wi-Fi — wireless is an 802.11a/b/g add-on card. Plan ~$200 and one accessory slot.
  • You need finishing (staple, hole-punch, booklet) — finishers bolt on (1,000-sheet, 2,000-sheet booklet, 3,000-sheet multi-tray) but expect a foot more on each side.

  • You print under 2,000 pages a month — you're paying for an A3 mono floor copier and barely using it. Desktop MFP makes more sense.
  • You need color. This is mono only.

  • You need fax standard — fax is an option on this unit, not built in.

It prints up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, copies at 40 ppm, and turns out a first copy in 4.1 seconds. Standard paper capacity is 1,200 sheets (two 550-sheet trays plus a 100-sheet bypass), expandable to 4,400 with the optional dual 550 paper bank or 1,200/2,000-sheet LCT. The 100-sheet ARDF handles double-sided originals up to 11 x 17, and scanning hits email, network folder, the 128 GB HDD (standard on Print/Scan configuration), FTP, SMB, USB stick, or SD card directly from the operation panel.
