Best fit: small offices of 3-10 people printing 750-4,000 pages a month who need print, copy, scan, fax — and don't want to run Ethernet to the back office. Print speed is 42 ppm letter, first page out 6.1 seconds, max duty 80,000 pages/month, recommended 4,000. Standard input is 350 sheets, expandable to 900 with the D9P29A 550-sheet feeder. The 50-sheet single-pass duplex ADF scans both sides at 42 ppm — same workflow capability as the fdn. HP's self-healing Wi-Fi auto-reconnects if the network drops, useful when the printer lives somewhere with weak signal. Mobile printing covers AirPrint, Mopria, Wi-Fi Direct, and HP Smart. RJ-11 fax built in. 2.7-inch color touchscreen. HP Wolf Pro Security preconfigured. Uses HP 148A (~2,900) or 148X (~9,500) toner.
