The Xerox VersaLink C605/XL is a desktop A4 color laser multifunction in the 'with high-capacity feeder' configuration — same engine as the C605/X (55 ppm color and mono, 1200 x 2400 dpi, single-pass duplex DADF) plus the bolt-on 2,000-sheet HCF that pushes total paper capacity to 2,700 sheets. The intent is workgroups of 15-30 users that go through paper fast enough that refilling a 550-sheet tray multiple times per shift is a real time tax. Monthly duty cycle is 120,000 pages with a Xerox-recommended throughput around 17,000 pages. Standard interface is the 5-inch capacitive ConnectKey touchscreen, and connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB 3.0 with optional Wi-Fi/NFC via the 497K16750 kit. PostScript 3 and PCL 5e/6 are standard. The thing buyers regret on this configuration: realizing the HCF only feeds letter and A4 — Tray 1 still handles legal and the wider custom sizes, so the HCF is genuinely just a paper magazine.
