The Xerox Phaser 6510/DN is a compact desktop color laser printer for home offices and small teams of 1-8 that just need fast color print — no scan, copy, or fax. It runs at 30 ppm color and black on letter, 18 ppm two-sided, with print resolution up to 1200 x 2400 dpi. Automatic 2-sided printing is standard. Standard paper capacity is 300 sheets (250-sheet Tray 1 plus 50-sheet bypass), expandable to 850 with the optional 550-sheet feeder. Monthly duty cycle is 50,000 pages with Xerox's recommended throughput around 3,000 pages. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB 3.0; the DN model does NOT ship with Wi-Fi (the wireless adapter 497K16750 is sold separately, around $100-150). PostScript 3 is standard. Footprint is 16.5 x 19 x 13.7 inches and 52 lb. The thing buyers regret: thinking they'll never need to scan. The 6510 has no scanner. The drum unit (DR810) is separate and usually lasts 15,000 to 30,000 pages before it needs replacing. At a typical small office volume, expect to change it once every 2 to 4 years.
