The Ricoh Aficio MP C5000 is a 50 ppm A3 color laser MFP from Ricoh's 2007 enterprise color platform — same chassis as the MP C3000/C3500/C4000/C4500. It prints and copies 50 ppm in both black and color up to 12x18, runs auto duplex standard, ships with a 100-sheet reversing ADF and the 8.5-inch color WVGA touchscreen, and has dual 550-sheet drawers plus a 100-sheet bypass for 1,200 sheets standard, expandable to 3,200 with the LCT. The 200,000-page monthly duty cycle puts it in the 10,000-25,000 page/month range for departments of 40-80 people. We still see these in active use at law firms, schools, and county offices that bought them 2008-2011 — engines commonly past 1M pages with regular PMs. Strengths: durable chassis, predictable parts costs aftermarket, fast first-page-out (3.5s mono / 5.9s color was best-in-class for the era), and high-yield toner (23K mono / 17K color). Note on usage class: while listed as 'small office,' that is a misnomer for this hardware — the C5000 is a 50 ppm A3 floor-standing enterprise MFP, not a desktop. The thing buyers regret today: end-of-service from Ricoh, the GW controller predates Smart Operation Panel, and security won't pass a current IT audit. For a current equivalent, look at the IM C5500.
