The Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 is a 35 ppm A3 color laser MFP from Ricoh's 2007 MP C2500/C3000/C3500/C4500 platform — the highest-volume member of that family. It prints and copies at 35 ppm in both mono and color up to 12x18, runs auto duplex standard, ships with a 100-sheet reversing ADF and 8.5-inch color WVGA touchscreen, and has dual 500-sheet drawers (1,100-sheet base capacity with bypass) expandable with optional LCT. The 100,000-page monthly duty cycle puts it in the 4,000-10,000 page/month range for workgroups of 15-35 people. We still service these — bought new 2008-2011, paid off the lease years ago, engine commonly past 1M pages with PMs. Strengths: durable chassis, predictable parts costs on aftermarket, fast first-page-out for the era. The thing buyers regret today: end-of-service from Ricoh, GW controller predates Smart Operation Panel, won't pass a current IT security audit, and the reversing ADF is slow on duplex scans. For a current equivalent at this speed, get the IM C3500.
