The Ricoh Aficio MP C2800 is a 28 ppm A3 color laser multifunction from Ricoh's enterprise C2800/C3300 platform (circa 2009). It prints and copies at 28 ppm in mono and color up to 12x18, runs auto duplex standard, ships with a 100-sheet reversing ADF and an 8.5-inch color WVGA touchscreen, and has dual 550-sheet drawers (1,200-sheet base capacity with bypass) expandable with optional 1,500-sheet LCT. The 150,000-page monthly duty cycle and durable engine make this the right fit for departments of 15-40 people running 4,000-15,000 pages a month — same chassis we still see in active use at law firms, schools, and county offices that bought them in 2010-2012. Strengths: the chassis is genuinely one of Ricoh's most reliable enterprise color platforms, the 8.5-inch panel is much better than the 4.3-inch on the C2030/C2050, and toner cartridges are high-yield (up to 21,500 mono / 15,000 color). The thing buyers regret today: end-of-service from Ricoh, the GW controller predates Smart Operation Panel, and security won't pass a modern audit. For a current equivalent at this speed, get the IM C2510.
