The Ricoh Aficio MP 9002 is a 90 ppm A3 mono production multifunction designed for central reprographics groups and large departments of 100-300 users that need a high-throughput workhorse for print, copy, scan, and optional fax. It prints up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, copies at 90 ppm with a 2.9-second first copy time (the fastest in the 6002/7502/9002 platform), and scans 88 ipm simplex or 176 ipm duplex through the 150-sheet single-pass color duplex ADF. Standard paper capacity is 4,300 sheets (3,100-sheet tandem letter tray + two 550-sheet user-adjustable trays + 100-sheet bypass), expandable to 8,300 with the optional 4,000-sheet LCT. Scan destinations include email, network folder, FTP, SMB, the 250 GB HDD, USB stick, and SD card from the 9-inch WVGA color touchscreen. Connectivity is 10/100 Ethernet plus USB 2.0 and SD card slot standard; Gigabit, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and IEEE 1284 are options. Power is 208-220V/60Hz/20A — needs a dedicated 20A circuit on the right voltage (the predecessor MP 9001 was 120V). The honest part: this is a 2012 platform that Ricoh has discontinued. Aftermarket toner is plentiful and the engine is rock-solid, but only buy used/refurb if you have an independent service tech. The thing buyers regret: ordering it without confirming the room has 208-220V power.
