Is this the right printer for you?

Who the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C568iFZ is actually for

Most printer pages just tell you what a printer does. Here's the honest version: when this machine is the right choice, when it's fine, and when you should look at something else. We sell a lot of these for a reason, but the reason is not "every office."

Best fit

Pick this if...

  • You run a workgroup of 10-30 people that needs a fast desktop A4 color MFP with built-in stapling and offset stacking — no tabloid required.
  • You print 2,500-7,000 pages a month and routinely send out collated, stapled multi-page documents.
  • You scan stacks of contracts, invoices, or intake forms daily — the 100-sheet single-pass DADF runs 200 ipm duplex.
  • You already standardize on Canon imageRUNNER and want a 60 ppm finisher-equipped desktop unit.
  • You want Super G3 fax and the full enterprise scan destination set (SMB, FTP, WebDAV, IFAX) standard.
Works fine

You'll be happy if...

  • You print 7,000-9,000 pages a month — the 60 ppm engine handles it, you'll just go through T04 toner faster.
  • You don't strictly need stapling — but you wanted finisher headroom for future jobs. The base finisher tray adds 900-sheet output capacity, which helps with longer print runs.
  • You're replacing an aging Canon iR-ADV C355iF or C256iF — the workflow is nearly identical, plan a few days for muscle-memory complaints.
  • You only have room for one optional cassette — the iFZ supports one optional cassette versus two on the iF (the finisher takes the second slot).
Look elsewhere

Skip this if...

  • You print over 10,000 pages a month — step up to the A3 C3835i or C5840i for higher monthly headroom.
  • You need 11x17 tabloid output — this engine maxes out at 8.5 x 14 (Legal). Look at the C3800 or C5800 series for A3.
  • You print under 800 pages a month with no stapling needs — this is overbuilt. A desktop imageCLASS MFP costs less.
  • You need booklet making, hole punching, or saddle stitching — the inner finisher only does corner/double stapling and offset. Step up to the C3800/C5800 series for full finishing.
  • You don't have an authorized Canon dealer relationship — T04 toner and uniFLOW configuration go through contract channels.
Full specifications

Every spec, no guessing

The Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C568iFZ is the inner-finisher variant of the C568iF — same 60 ppm A4 color engine, same 10.1-inch touchscreen, same iR-ADV DX workflow, but with a built-in stapling finisher that bumps output capacity from 400 to 900 sheets (400 base tray + 400 upper + 100 lower). Built for workgroups of 10-30 users that need a fast desktop A4 color MFP and routinely send out collated, stapled multi-page output. It prints and copies up to 60 ppm in both black and color (47 ppm Legal), with a 4.4-second first copy out (black) / 5.2 seconds (color), and scans at 200 ipm duplex via the 100-sheet single-pass DADF. Standard paper capacity is 650 sheets; the iFZ supports up to one optional cassette (versus two on the iF) to reach 2,300 sheets — the finisher footprint takes the second slot. The 10.1-inch color touchscreen runs the full iR-ADV DX workflow with uniFLOW Online, Hot Folders, and scan-to-everything. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus Wi-Fi standard. Super G3 fax is built in. Security is the standard iR-ADV DX stack: McAfee Embedded Control, FIPS 140-2 HDD encryption, TLS 1.3, SIEM integration. The thing buyers regret: paying for a finisher and only using it for occasional staple jobs. If you don't routinely send out 5+ page collated documents, the iF version (no finisher) is cheaper and you free up the second cassette slot.

Supplies & consumables

Toner, yields, and what to actually reorder

The #1 question we get on this printer is "which toner do I buy?" Short answer: you have two cartridge options and a drum. Standard yield TN830 covers roughly 1,200 pages. High yield TN830XL covers roughly 4,500 pages and is the better value for most offices. Pick XL unless you print very little.

The drum unit (DR810) is separate and usually lasts 15,000 to 30,000 pages before it needs replacing. At a typical small office volume, expect to change it once every 2 to 4 years.

If you lease this printer through us, toner and drum are included. You never pay for supplies separately. That's usually the better deal once you add up real costs over 3 years.

What customers actually say

The 5-star consensus: "it just works"

Small sample size, high signal. The 4 verified reviewers picked this model to replace older inkjets or aging Canon machines. Common threads in the feedback:

  • "Good workhorse machine for our office. Color quality is consistent and the touchscreen interface is intuitive enough that new staff don't need much training. My only complaint is the toner cartridges are pricey, but that's probably standard for this class of printer."
  • "Replaced an older Ricoh with this and the speed improvement alone was worth it. Network printing is reliable, and the mobile printing options through Canon's app have actually made our workflow better. Haven't had any jams or paper feed issues in a year of regular use."
  • "We replaced our old Xerox with this Canon for our small accounting office. The color output is sharp and the automatic duplex scanning saves us a ton of time on batch jobs. Haven't had any major issues in eight months of regular use."
  • "Decent machine for our nonprofit office. The scanning to email feature works okay, though we had to get IT support to get the authentication set up right. Otherwise reliable and gets heavy use without complaints."
