The Canon imageRUNNER 2030i is the 30 ppm flagship of the iR 2018/2020/2022/2025/2030 small-office mono family — same chassis as the 2025i, same supplies, but a faster engine and a 100,000 pages/month max duty cycle (up from 75K on the 2025i). It holds 600 sheets standard (500-sheet drawer plus 100-sheet bypass), prints at 1200 x 600 dpi, and first copy out is 5.9 seconds. Standard auto duplex, the 50-sheet DADF, and network print/scan come in the box. The control panel is a 5-line monochrome LCD — no touchscreen, no AirPrint, no native scan-to-cloud. Toner is the GPR-22 / C-EXV18 family, still readily stocked. This is the right machine for a 10-25 person office printing 4,000-8,000 pages a month that needs reliable A3 mono and basic scan-to-email/SMB. The thing buyers regret: thinking the 2030i would feel modern. The engine and paper handling are competent, but the UI and security stack are 2008-era.
